Students write in their notebooks in a classroom

This notice explains what personal data Fortune Butterfly School collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Who we are

Fortune Butterfly School (“the school”, “we”) decides why and how your personal data is used through this website. Under the DPDP Act, we are the data fiduciary. Our address is Fortune Butterfly City, Kadthal (V) & (M), Rangareddy (D), Telangana 509358. You can reach us at info@fortunebutterflyschool.in.

What we collect

We collect only what you type into a form or send to us:

  • Admissions enquiry: the parent’s name, the student’s name, the programme and grade, a mobile number, an email address (optional), how you heard about us, and any message.
  • Campus visit request: your name, phone number, the student’s name (optional), the grade, your preferred date and time, and any message.
  • Emails you send us, for example a job application to our careers address, with any attachments.
  • Technical data: when you visit a page, our servers record your IP address, browser type, the page and the time. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for sensitive details such as health, religion or caste through this website, and we do not ask for identity documents online.

Children’s data

Our forms are for parents and lawful guardians. When a parent or guardian gives us a child’s name and grade and ticks the consent box, they give consent on the child’s behalf. If we learn that a child sent a form without a parent or guardian, we will contact the family or delete the details.

We do not track children’s behaviour on this website, and we do not show them advertising.

Why we use it

We use your details, with your consent, to:

  • reply to your enquiry and send you information about admissions;
  • arrange and confirm your campus visit;
  • keep a record of enquiries and visits for the admissions office;
  • keep the website secure and stop spam or abuse.

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with advertisers.

Who can see it

  • Authorised admissions and administrative staff of the school.
  • Service providers who work for us and follow our instructions: Amazon Web Services hosts the website and stores the form data in its Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region in India, and sends form notification emails; Google Workspace holds the school’s email.
  • A government authority, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and visit requests: up to two years after our last contact with you, then we delete them. If your child joins the school, the details become part of the student’s school record.
  • Server logs: 30 days.
  • Backups: deleted data can remain in our encrypted backups for up to 30 more days, until those backups expire.

How we protect it

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). The data is stored encrypted, only staff with a school account can see it, and each person sees only what their role needs. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Cookies and other websites

  • This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Staff who sign in to the school’s content system get one cookie that keeps them signed in.
  • Videos come from YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, YouTube’s privacy policy applies to that video.
  • Links to SchoolKnot (parent login), Instagram and Google Maps open those services. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update it;
  • ask us to delete it, when we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for;
  • withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect what we did before you withdrew it;
  • nominate another person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself;
  • raise a complaint (grievance) with us.

To use any of these rights, email info@fortunebutterflyschool.in or write to us at the address above. We will reply as soon as we can, and within the time the law sets.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India after you have raised it with us.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we start to use your data in a new way, we will ask for your consent first.
